In her weekly Gators Gameday Grub segment here on OGGOA, our friend Janah Adickman over at Delish Your Dish has sent us another UF-themed recipe that is easy to make, fun to create and absolutely delicious. Whether you are hosting a party, going to someone else’s or tailgating on-site, this grub is for Gators ONLY!

This week: “Jack-up the Tide” Championship Chicken Pizza

Today’s dish features a recipe from one of Janah’s favorite Web sites, Top Secret Recipes. Todd Wilbur has figured out how to recreate some of our favorite foods from top restaurants. She used his T.G.I Fridays Jack Daniel’s Grill Glaze recipe to make today’s delish dish! So get to cooking and be ready to roll over the Tide!

Feast your eyes and then learn how to make this dish after the jump!!!

“Jack-up the Tide” Championship Chicken Pizza

What You Need:
1 pkg. Pillsbury thin crust pizza dough – 1 recipe for Jack Daniel’s Grill Glaze – 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup diced red onion – 1/2 pkg. Morningstar Farms chik strips – corn meal (for dusting) – 1 tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:
1. Make the glaze ahead of time (takes about an hour) and set aside. Grease a pizza pan and dust with corn meal. Roll out pizza dough onto pizza pan and poke several times with a fork (keeps it from bubbling up).
2. Pop the pizza dough in the oven for about 5 minutes (or until is just browns slightly). Meanwhile, toast the chicken strips in the toaster for about 5 minutes and set aside.
3. Then, remove the pizza from the oven and top with the grill glaze. Next, sprinkle the pizza with the cheese, red onion, strips and crushed red pepper flakes.
4. Place the pizza back in the oven for about 8-10 minutes (keep your eye on it). Enjoy!
