Two of eight teams set to play in a military-themed game aboard an aircraft carrier on Nov. 9, the Florida Gators and Georgetown Hoyas will be wearing camouflage-style uniforms when the teams square off in Jacksonville, FL on the deck of the USS Bataan in the Navy/Marine Corps Classic.
On Thursday, fans got a sneak peak at what will likely be the uniform that Florida will wear for the special game. It is a version of the team’s current orange alternates (introduced in 2011-12) infused with a noticeable camouflage pattern.
The Gators will also be wearing these shoes (below), the Nike Hyperfuse 2012 “Carrier Classic” Florida PE, during the game. The camouflage is digitized and off-set by an eye-catching blue fabric as well as a blue translucent sole.
Nike has also released a special “United We Stand.” t-shirt that can be purchased by fans to commemorate the occasion. The t-shirt, pictured below and available for sale here, is blue with orange camouflage letters.
