There will be no lack of eyeballs on Florida Gators football at the start of the 2017 season.

It was announced Tuesday that CBS will air Florida’s SEC home opener against the Tennessee Volunteers live as the SEC on CBS game of the week on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET. This comes after UF’s season opener against the Michigan Wolverines in Arlington, Texas, was given a 3:30 p.m. start time on Saturday, Sept. 2 live on ABC.

The only other game time currently known for the Gators is the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 28, which will once again be played in Jacksonville, Florida, and air live nationally on CBS at 3:30 p.m.

The 2017 game marks the 15th straight meeting between Florida and Georgia that will be televised by CBS. The Gators and Vols have seen their game picked up 19 of the last 20 years.

Television information for the Florida-Northern Colorado game set for Week 2 has not been announced at this time, though it will air on an ESPN affiliated network, likely either at 12 p.m. or in the evening on Saturday, Sept. 9.

CBS also announced it will air three Saturday doubleheaders this season on Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18. UF travels to South Carolina on the latter date.

Brad Nessler will take over as lead play-by-play man for SEC on CBS games this year following the college football retirement of Verne Lundquist.
