It has been a slow start for the Florida Gators when it comes to acquiring verbal commitments from the Class of 2025, but their efforts got a bit of a boost Sunday night when wide receiver Josiah Abdullah (Atlanta, GA) became the Gators’ second pledge of the cycle.

Abdullah (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) is presently ranked as a three-star prospect with a low four-star ceiling. He chose Florida out of a substantial offer list, but it is not known how many of those were commitable.

Hauling in 52 receptions for 786 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior at Woodward Academy, Abdullah was on campus for Junior Day this weekend. Now, he joins four-star running back Waltez Clark (Tampa, FL) as the second member of a 2025 class ranked 26th nationally by 247Sports.
