One of the final few SEC teams to obtain a player from the transfer portal this offseason, the Florida Gators on Sunday grabbed an experienced offensive lineman who should factor into the team’s plans right away. San Diego State offensive tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson committed to Florida after visiting campus this weekend, though it’s not known what other teams were in for his services.

A former three-star prospect in the Class of 2019, Crenshaw-Dickson (6-foot-6, 310 pounds) has not yet been regraded as a transfer by 247Sports. He has experience playing both tackle spots during his time with SDSU, starting 36 of the 37 games in which he played.

Crenshaw-Dickson will likely serve as the third tackle, a rotational player who can fill in wherever needed, though he could wind up starting. The All-Mountain West third team selection considered the NFL this offseason but would have been a late Day 3 draft pick at best had he declared.

The Gators have seen more than a dozen players enter the transfer portal this offseason, headlined by starting running back Trevor Etienne and EDGE rusher Princely Umanmielen, the latter of whom is headed to Ole Miss.
