As the Florida Gators come to grips with a 5-7 finish in the 2023 season in Year 2 under head coach Billy Napier, it was already established that Florida will face an absolute gauntlet in 2024. In fact, the Gators will take on the nation’s toughest schedule with 11 of their 12 games coming against Power Four competition as they will face Miami (ACC), UCF (Big 12) and Florida State (ACC) as three of four nonconference games.

With ESPN taking over exclusive rights of the SEC beginning in 2024, game schedules and kickoffs have been announced earlier than ever before. While UF already knew which opponents it would face next season, before Wednesday night, only seven of 12 games had set dates.

Florida will open SEC play in Week 3 when it hosts Texas A&M — for the first time since 2017 — on Saturday, Sept. 14. It will be just the second time the Aggies will visit Ben Hill Griffin Stadium since officially becoming SEC members.

The Gators will also visit Neyland Stadium later than they have — as regularly scheduled ahead of a season — in decades. Florida will play at Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 12, the latest the teams have met as part of an initial scheduling decision since 1991. (9/11 forced the 2001 matchup to move to Dec. 1, and the COVID-19 pandemic rearranged the SEC schedule with the teams meeting on Dec. 5.)

Here is how the Gators’ schedule stands. There are expected to be two byes for all teams in 2024.

Aug. 31 — vs. Miami
Sept. 7 — vs. Samford
Sept. 14 — vs. Texas A&M
Sept. 21 — at Mississippi State
Sept. 28 — OFF
Oct. 5 — vs. UCF
Oct. 12 — at Tennessee
Oct. 19 — vs. Kentucky
Oct. 26 — OFF
Nov. 2 — vs. Georgia (Jacksonville)
Nov. 9 — at Texas
Nov. 16 — vs. LSU
Nov. 23 — vs. Ole Miss
Nov. 30 — at Florida State
