AP Top 25: Florida Gators basketball returns to poll for first time since 2014

Nearly two years since last appearing in the AP Top 25, the Florida Gators are back in the college basketball rankings, making their first appearance in the poll under head coach Mike White.

At 6-1 with all games played at neutral sites — and following three quality games against Seton Hall (win), Miami (wins) and Gonzaga (loss) in Orlando last week — Florida checked in at No. 24 in the AP Top 25. It was last in the rankings on Nov. 24, 2014, ahead of the third week of the 2014-15 season.

The Gators were also the first team out of the Coaches Poll this week, placing 26th overall in the voting and 42 points out of the top 25. Check out the full AP Top 25 ahead of Week 4 below.
