Former Florida Gators in the NFL: Week 9 (2012)

Now nine weeks into the 2012 NFL regular season, there are 32 former Florida Gators football players spread over 23 teams.

A total of 17 players participated in week nine action, many of whom had an impact on their respective team’s performance.

For the third-straight year, OGGOA has checked and re-checked the box scores to bring you a summary of what all of these Gators accomplished during the ninth week of the 2012 regular season.

– Oakland had the chance to tie or take the lead with 2:42 left in the game when Black came down with the interception. Tampa Bay scored a touchdown three plays later and put the game out of reach.
– Harvin seriously sprained his ankle during the game. He returned but is doubtful to play in Week 10 against Detroit.
– Cooper had a trick play kickoff return for a touchdown called back due to a teammate throwing an illegal forward pass.
– Five Gators were listed as “inactive” this week, the most all season.
– Hill is serving a suspension after testing positive for a banned substance.
