The 2018 college football season has just begun, but with the Southeastern Conference already knowing which cross-division rotational opponent each team is scheduled to face in 2019, it was able to release the complete schedules for every program in the league on Tuesday.

The Florida Gators will open the 2019 campaign with a neutral-site contest against Miami at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, Aug. 31. UF’s other nonconference opponents include Tennessee-Martin on Sept. 7 and Towson on Sept. 28. Florida will host Florida State in the annual regular season-ending meeting between the in-state rivals on Nov. 30. As far as the Gators’ SEC schedule, take a look at the complete slate below. All games are played on Saturday.

Aug. 31 vs. Miami (Orlando, FL)
Sept. 7 vs. Tennessee-Martin
Sept. 14 at Kentucky
Sept. 21 vs. Tennessee
Sept. 28 vs. Towson
Oct. 5 vs. Auburn
Oct. 12 at LSU
Oct. 19 at South Carolina
Oct. 26 — BYE
Nov. 2 vs. Georgia (Jacksonville, FL)
Nov. 9 vs. Vanderbilt
Nov. 16 at Missouri
Nov. 23 — BYE
Nov. 30 vs. Florida State

There are a couple immediate takeaways from this schedule.

Florida really has it rough in October with Auburn and LSU back-to-back and a second-straight road game before the first bye against a difficult South Carolina team. One could argue the Gators will face their four toughest SEC opponents consecutively that month.

It’s also notable that the Gators have Towson scheduled on Sept. 28 as opposed to the normal nonconference “cupcake” spot of Nov. 23. Florida will have a bye week before Florida State, which works but would be much better placed on that Sept. 28 date ahead of the meat of its schedule with the other coming before the Georgia game.

This is an exceedingly difficult schedule for head coach Dan Mullen, who will be entering Year 2 with the Gators in 2019.
