The Florida Gators landed a key 2022 prospect on Friday evening with four-star running back Terrance Gibbs (Winter Park, FL) committing to play for the program next season. He immediately becomes the third-highest rated recruit for a class that is still looking to fill out.
“110% committed,” he tweeted.
Gibbs (6-foot, 190 pounds) chose Florida over Florida State and LSU after taking official visits to all three programs. Though the Gators were long expanded to land the talented rusher, his stacked offer sheet created the potential for a surprise.
Ranked as the No. 187 overall prospect and 17th running back in the 247Sports Composite, Gibbs is just the third top 200 recruit committed to Florida, which has a number of its top targets still undecided. UF has 11 members so far in its Class of 2022.
The Gators are currently holding their famed Friday Night Lights summer camp, so this could be just the tip of the iceberg.
Gibbs’ pledge was detailed further in a commitment video created by The Gainesville Sun‘s Zach Abolverdi.
