Nike has announced that the EA Sports NCAA Football 11 version of its Nike Trainer 1.2 sneaker, specially made with former Florida Gators now Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in mind, will be released on Friday, Aug. 6. It can be purchased on NikeStore.com and can be ordered with a “Tebow Knows” T-shirt (sold separately).
The sneaker features reminders of Tebow’s “Promise” speech from Sept. 27, 2008, along with a company logo and mention of the video game. Special thanks to SoleCollector.com for initially bringing this shoe to our attention last week.
Limited quantities available.
Adam- do you know if it is possible to just buy the shirt? Any word on pricing?
Nope. No idea. I would expect $125 for the set – a PURE GUESS.
Ok thanks!
Will the shoes be made of baby foreskin?
Wow.. this is great! Truth be told.. I won;t be using these shoes for running.. if you know what I mean. I mean.. just seeing Tebow.. err.. “the great one”s image on TV makes me feel.. you know.. funny. To own shoes made with inspiration from “the promise!!” Wow!!!! Let’s go all the way though. Why not a life-sized Tebow doll..errr.. statue. You know.. just to admire.. not to.. haha.. =x
I love Tim.. I love him.. but not in.. that way. I think.
please god.. make the “feelings” go away…
Swamp Rat – Actually made me laugh out loud. The answer though is only the laces.
Not going to lie, the shoes look one step above needing a velcro strap. I love Tim but this things are pretty hideous.
