The Florida Gators hauled in an important player Saturday night when transfer cornerback Jadarrius Perkins (Hattiesburg, MS) committed to the program. This after it appeared as if Perkins would be playing for Missouri during the 2021 season.
Perkins (6-foot-2, 185 pounds), a former Oregon commit, was the No. 5 ranked JUCO player in the nation this cycle. He committed to Missouri in January and signed with the Tigers as part of the traditional National Signing Day in February but chose to transfer after just two months with the program.
“DBU…. I’m blessed thank the man above,” Perkins tweeted after 247Sports’ Blake Alderman first reported his commitment.
Florida offered Perkins less than two weeks ago, and he clearly jumped on the opportunity. He played at Mississippi Gulf Coast with four-star linebacker Diwun Black, the nation’s No. 1 JUCO prospect who joined the Gators as part of their Class of 2021.
