The steady construction of the Florida Gators’ Class of 2023 continued Monday as three-star offensive lineman Bryce Lovett (Rockledge, FL) verbally committed to the program. Lovett shared his decision through an extensive message on Twitter.
“I will be committing to the University of Florida #GoGators #UFuture,” he concluded.
Lovett (6-foot-5, 330 pounds) is a big-bodied, strong lineman who currently plays offensive tackle for Rockledge High School. He also competes as a thrower for his school’s track & field team.
A frequent on-campus visitor this offseason, Lovett committed to Florida over Iowa State, Louisville and Missouri, though he had offers from a number of other SEC and Power Five programs. Given the Gators are in the midst of rebuilding his unit, he would have an opportunity to contribute right away upon his enrollment.
With Lovett now in as Florida’s fifth verbal commitment, the Gators rose four spots to No. 30 overall in the 247Sports Composite team rankings. He is the third prospect to join the program this month, following four-star offensive lineman Knijeah Harris and three-star athlete Creed Whittemore.
