Though spring practice is coming to an end, the Florida Gators are still working on their roster ahead of the 2016 season. On Wednesday night, long snapper Brett DioGuardi (Windermere, FL) committed to the Gators, announcing via Twitter that he will be joining the team.

“Excited and blessed that I will be attending the University of Florida for the next four years to play football,” DioGuardi wrote on Twitter.

DioGuardi had been waiting on an admissions acceptance for the opportunity to join the Florida football team as a preferred walk-on. There was also interest from Florida State in DioGuardi’s services, but a source told OnlyGators.com that his preference was to play at UF.

Highly rated by a number of special teams recruiting services, DioGuardi is ranked No. 3 overall on the Kornblue Kicking Fab 50 long snapper rankings for 2016, but first in his own Class of 2016.

Sophomore Ryan Farr is the incumbent starter for the Gators, starting 14 games in 2015 after joining the program as a walk-on last spring.

Oh yeah, you’re damn right there’s long snapping film.
