Shortly after the Florida Gators‘ third spring practice of the 2015 offseason, the team added a pair of three-star 2016 commitments in wide receiver Isaiah Johnson (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) and safety Spencer Perry (Bradenton, FL).

Johnson, whose commitment was first reported by Blake Alderman of Rivals, chose Florida eight days after being offered, six after visiting UF for Junior Day and five days after decommitting from Miami. He also holds offers from Louisville and South Carolina.

Perry, who was offered by and took an unofficial visit to Florida in February, made his announced on Twitter: “I have verbally committed to THE University of Florida IM A GATOR.” He also has standing offers from Auburn, Mississippi State and Notre Dame.

At 6-foot-3 and 198 pounds, Johnson is the second wideout committed to the Gators for 2016, joining three-star Rick Wells (Jacksonville, FL). Perry (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) is Florida’s second defensive back commitment for the cycle behind four-star Chauncey Gardner (Cocoa, FL).

Overall, the Gators now have seven 2016 pledges, six of which are three-star prospects, according to 247Sports.

Great news to keep the momentum going! I hope he is getting some connections to the super studs in the class too. I did read the Greg Little will be making a trip to UF in a swing across the south in June.

Nice, Perry must be a bright kid if he was offered by Notre Dame.

Looks like Mac is trying to get some taller receivers on board. I like it. Go Gators!!!
