Recruiting momentum has continued past National Signing Day for the Florida Gators, which received a commitment late Friday night from three-star defensive back Divaad Wilson (Miami, FL), a member of the Class of 2018.
Wilson, a rising prospect not yet universally rated, also holds an offer from Louisville and was expecting one from Miami. The Gators offered the 6-foot, 185-pounder on Thursday and saw him verbally commit one day later.
“After discussing it with my family I’ve decided to commit to THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA!!!!” he wrote on Twitter. “Go Gators DefensiveBackUniversity.”
With Wilson now in the fold, Florida has two 2018 commitments. the other is three-star athlete Jalynn Williams (St. Petersburg, FL), who gave his verbal pledge back on Jan. 13.
I don’t even remember the last Miami Northwestern kid the Gators signed
