Gators Halapio, Okine involved in car crash

Florida Gators redshirt sophomore right guard Jon Halapio and redshirt junior defensive tackle Earl Okine were involved in a crash on I-10 in Madison County on Sunday.

The car they were driving “hit small trees and bushes in the median,” according to WCTV, but both players appear to be unharmed after emergency medical personnel dispatched to the scene evaluated the two young men.

A Florida spokesman confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel Sunday evening that the players were not injured in the crash. Expectations are that both will be at practice Monday.
