The trickle of summer commitments continues for the Florida Gators as they remain focused on building out a Class of 2025 that still needs significant work. For the third time in the last two weeks, Florida acquired a pass-catching prospect as three-star wide receiver Tae’shaun Gelsey (Jacksonville, FL) committed to the Gators.
Gelsey (6-foot-4, 215 pounds) brings significant size as an offensive playmaker and appears destined to move to tight end, a position at which he would provide even greater value. He committed to Florida having never indicated there were other finalists or his services, though he did recently camp at Florida State and take an official visit to Tulane.
Four-star WR Joshua Moore (Pembroke Pines, FL) and three-star TE Micah Jones (Madison, MS) recently committed to the Gators as well giving UF just eight commitments in their Class of 2025 with less than six months until the early signing period.
Florida remains well behind its peers now listed 65th in the 247Sports Team Rankings, though there are a number of top targets on the program’s radar over the summer months.
