As the early signing period approaches, the Florida Gators are looking to build out their class with talented playmakers on both sides of the ball. They did just that on Thursday night, adding a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Jalen Lee (Watson, LA).
Lee (6-foot-3, 294 pounds), the No. 329 overall player in the Class of 2020, was previously committed to LSU but rescinded his pledge on Nov. 21. He had been heavily recruited by defensive line coach David Turner.
“You can’t stop what[‘s] destined,” Lee tweeted. “THANK YOU LORD!! COMMITTED. #GatorGangXX”
The Gators now have 22 players committed in the Class of 2020 with Lee’s addition pushing them to No. 9 overall in the 247Sports Composite team rankings. He is the fifth defensive lineman to be added to the class, joining a group led by four-star DT Gervon Dexter (Lake Wales, FL), the No. 32 player in the nation.
