Coming off its third bye week of the 2019 season, the Florida Gators (9-2, 6-2 SEC) are rested, relaxed, prepared for the in-state rival Florida State Seminoles and now firmly inside the top 10 of the latest college football rankings. Whether the Gators will be ranked as high when the College Football Playoff Rankings come out on Tuesday night is another story.

Florida rose two spots to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll due to losses by Oregon and Penn State. The Gators remain the top-rated two-loss team in the nation and are ahead of one-loss teams like Minnesota and Baylor.

LSU remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation; it is the third team to hold that distinction this season along with Clemson and then Alabama. It will be interesting to see whether LSU stays ahead of Ohio State when the CFP Rankings are released on Tuesday night.
