Three-star defensive tackle Jordon Scott (Largo, FL) announced his decommitment from the Florida Gators via his Twitter account on Tuesday night.

“For more reasons than one I’ve chose to decommit From the University of Florida,” he wrote. “Great people Great program Great fans. The Coaching staff is full of great coaches and i wish them the best of luck on the rest of the season. Too all the Gators fans i truly appreciate you guys bringing me into the Family. But at this time I will open my recruitment 100% wide open.”

Scott, who committed to Florida on May 25, does not appear to be heavily pursued by other major programs at this time. He was the second-lowest rated recruit in the Gators’ Class of 2017 and one of three defensive linemen committed to the program for next season.

The Gators now have 15 commitments for the 2017 cycle, including eight rated as four-star prospects in the 247Sports Composite.
