Gators ranked No. 10 in preseason AP Top 25

The 2013-14 preseason Associated Press Top 25 Poll was released on Thursday with Kentucky opening the season as the No. 1 team in the nation, receiving 27-of-65 first-place votes.

The Florida Gators, which finished the 2012-13 season ranked No. 10, opened up in the same exact spot with 936 votes in the first version of the AP rankings. The Gators were voted in at No. 8 with 550 points in the preseason USA Today coaches’ poll.

Florida will play four top-25 teams in non-conference action. The Gators are just one of two Southeastern Conference teams listed in the preseason top 25.

Preseason 1-5: Kentucky (27), Michigan State (22), Louisville (14), Duke (2), Kansas
6-10: Arizona, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Florida
11-15: Ohio State, North Carolina, Memphis, VCU, Gonzaga
16-20: Wichita State, Marquette, UConn, Oregon, Wisconsin
21-25: Notre Dame, UCLA, New Mexico, Virginia, Baylor
