College basketball rankings: Florida Gators open at No. 6 in 2019-20 Preseason AP Top 25 poll

With a brand-new roster and extremely high expectations, head coach Mike White now has to deal with a top-10 ranking as Florida Gators basketball has been voted as the No. 6 team in the nation in the 2019-20 Preseason AP Top 25 college basketball rankings. Florida finished the 2018-19 season unranked without receiving any votes in the final AP Top 25.

The Gators were last in the top 10 of the Preseason AP Top 25 ahead of the 2017-18 campaign. This is the highest preseason rating for Florida since it was No. 3 before of the 2006-07 season coming off the program’s first national championship.
