After a disappointing first season in the SEC, No. 14 Missouri has proved they belong with the big boys after a strong start to the 2013 season. The Tigers have posted a 6-0 (2-0 SEC) record after beating the Georgia Bulldogs last weekend in Athens. This weekend they host No. 22 Florida at Faurot Field.

Prices for Missouri tickets for the game are averaging $114 apiece. That is $12 less than the average price the last time these two teams faced off in Gainesville last season. This game is also 5% the Tigers’ home average with good reason. At 6-0 and facing a compromised Gators team, there is excitement in Columbia despite the injury news.

Fans should not have a problem getting tickets to the game with a Get-in Price of $45. Tickets are also getting cheaper with a weekly trend of -26%. Missouri was not even on the TiqIQ Top 25 this week, although they are creeping up as they play better. Florida is also a big draw for SEC games. Florida football tickets are averaging $154 per ticket and are in 11th in the TiqIQ rankings.

Missouri’s success is largely due to their offensive production. The Tigers are averaging 45.7 points per game and have not scored less than 38 points in a game this season. However, after defeating Georgia in a monumental SEC win, Mizzou received some frightening news involving their leader on offense. James Franklin, Missouri’s starting quarterback, was rumored to be out for the season with a shoulder injury. New reports say Franklin will miss six weeks but could play in a bowl game.

On the Gators side, Florida already received their devastating injury news about starting quarterback Jeff Driskel last month. Tyler Murphy has done a good job stepping into the starting role under the circumstances. Florida also received more injury news that top running back Matt Jones is out for the season after suffering a knee injury against LSU. Florida is 4-2 (3-1 SEC) but has a difficult schedule left against four ranked teams.
