The Florida Gators (6-0, 3-0 SEC) looked dominant defensively on Saturday against previously top-10 ranked Auburn and now stand with the nation’s third-best winning streak at 10 games dating back to last season. While the win was a big one for Florida inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the Gators will not be able to enjoy it long with showdowns against top 10 opponents coming over two of their next three games.

That continues this week as Florida travels to LSU for a second straight top-10 meeting. It will also be the second consecutive week in which ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be on site at a Gators game — and the third time in seven weeks this season.

Florida moved up three spots to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 and rose one spot to No. 7 in the Coaches Poll this week. The Gators were jumped by one-loss Notre Dame in the AP Top 25 last week but regained their footing with Saturday’s big win, jumping over both ND and Wisconsin in addition to Auburn.

Alabama held on to the No. 1 spot it took over last week in both college football rankings as both it and Clemson were off. Ohio State moved into a tie with Georgia for third in the AP Top 25.
