When the Florida Gators face the Tennessee Volunteers each season, Florida fans instinctively know to wear blue to the stadium. But considering Tennessee chose the 2014 rivalry game between these teams to begin its Checker Neyland Stadium campaign in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Gators obviously felt it was necessary to throw one back at the Vols now that the 2015 game has returned to Gainesville, Florida.

“Check the stadium to see what color to wear,” wrote the program’s Twitter account – adorned with a blue-and-white Gator Head logo avatar – on Monday.

Florida has a 10-game winning streak against Tennessee, which dates back to 2005. The Gators are 23-6 against the Vols since 1976 and have outscored their SEC East rivals 291-152 over the last 10 games.

Trailing 9-0 in the fourth quarter of the 2014 contest, UF scored 10 straight points to earn a 10-9 victory over UT in Knoxville. Florida will look to keep its momentum going Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. with the game airing live nationally on CBS for the 18th time in the last 20 seasons.
