The Southeastern Conference this week announced its 2020 men’s basketball schedule, which in turn means Florida Gators basketball knows how its entire 2019-20 slate will look. Florida will tip off league play on Saturday, Jan. 4 when it hosts Alabama and close the season by hosting Kentucky on Saturday, March 7 live on CBS.

Following the opener, January includes visits to South Carolina, Missouri and LSU along with home dates vs. Ole Miss, Auburn and Mississippi State. That is in addition to the previously announced SEC/Big 12 Challenge game vs. Baylor on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Head coach Mike White’s squad has played a KenPom top-20 rated schedule his entire four years in Gainesville and will continue that trend in 2020 as it will face 12 opponents that competed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The Gators will compete in four events — Charleston Classic, Naismith Hall of Fame Game, Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, SEC/Big 12 Challenge — in addition to its difficult league schedule.

Florida is expected to be a top 10 team when 2019-20 preseason rankings come out in the next few weeks.

Let’s take a look at the complete schedule.
