The Class of 2022 expanded for the Florida Gators on Friday, though its overall ranking remained stagnant after offensive lineman Jalen Farmer (Covington, GA) committed to the program. Farmer, who is an unranked prospect, was offered by the Gators just over a month ago.

Florida nabbed a pledge from Farmer over Georgia Tech and East Carolina. He tweeted Friday that he is “110% committed to being a gator.”

Farmer (6-foot-5, 325 pounds) is considered a three-star prospect by Rivals. He will likely slot in for the team as an offensive guard. Assistant coach John Hevesy is responsible for his recruitment, likely trying to find a diamond in the rough.

Florida now has the 17th overall class in the 247Sports Composite team rankings with Farmer as the lowest-rated prospect in the entire class. The Gators are sixth in the SEC and also behind Florida State in the rankings.
