The Florida Gators’ surge up the Class of 2026 recruiting rankings continued unabated Wednesday with the acquisition of the program’s highest-rated commitment to date. Just one day after decommitting from Nebraska, four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh (Winter Garden, FL) has decided to continue his career at Florida.
Bronaugh (6-foot-1, 166 pounds) committed to the Gators less than a month after officially visiting the University of Florida. He cancelled an official to Penn State after taking such trips to Nebraska and Florida State in June following the UF visit on May 30.
Florida’s newest acquisition is rated No. 72 overall by 247Sports and No. 99 in the 247Sports Composite. With Bronaugh now in the fold, the Gators’ class rocketed up 11 spots to No. 13 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, its highest spot yet this cycle.
