Game times and television assignments for Weeks 1-3 of the 2019 season were released on Thursday, and now the Florida Gators know exactly when they will be playing through the first four weeks of the campaign. The Gators’ first three games will all be in primetime and held in the Sunshine State, starting with their neutral-site opener.
UF will kick off the 2019 season for the entirety of FBS college football as the sport celebrates its 150th anniversary when it takes the field earlier in the calendar than it ever has previously. Florida faces Miami on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. ET in a so-called “Week Zero” game that will air live nationally on ESPN.
That means the Gators will have Week 1 of the campaign as a bye, giving them three such off weeks this season, a true rarity. UF will open training camp a week earlier than normal on July 26. Its other bye weeks are set for Oct. 26 and Nov. 23.
Florida will have its home opener against Tennessee-Martin in Week 2 (Sept. 7) with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff that will air either on ESPNU or the SEC Network Alternate. UF will then hit the road in Week 3 as it faces Kentucky at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
CBS announced on Wednesday that the Florida-Georgia game from Jacksonville, Florida, will air at 3:30 p.m. as usual on Nov. 2.
Assignments for the remainder of the season will be announced during the campaign, usually two weeks ahead of kickoff but occasionally as few as six days prior.

Miami game is on 24th of August right?
That’s what it says in the story.
There’s a typo in the charted schedule at the bottom – says the Miami game is on the 31st. Thanks for the great articles!
Ooh looks like I never changed it. Thanks.
