Former Florida Gators teammates react to the death of Aaron Hernandez

The death of Aaron Hernandez, a suicide via hanging inside his prison cell, took many by surprise. It also served as a time for his former teamamtes and friends to reflect on the man they knew as Chico, a former star tight end for the Florida Gators and New England Patriots turned convicted murderer.

Players took to their various social media accounts to express their sadness at the passing of Hernandez.

Bro you were never perfect but none of us are! I'm gonna miss u bro, you my family! Despite other allegations and whatever else u had going ill always love u bro. RIP Chico man damn my brother 🐊🐊🐊🐊

Rest Easy Bruddah… Something about this whole story seemed odd, then after recent news to get hit with this curve ball. Still don't see it but maybe that's still my bias opinion. At end of day we have One Judge, He Also Knows Truth. So I will not attempt to judge but Hope Meet You Both One Day. R.I.P. Chico

In all kinds of weather we all stick together. Right, wrong, or indifferent we all stick together. The 3 years we spent together were some of the greatest memories, I have with the team winning national championships. RIP Chico ✌😪🙏🐊🐊🐊🐊🌷
