Manny Pacquiao may not have Justin Bieber or Triple H in his corner like his upcoming opponent, but he’s got former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, who visited him during a workout on Saturday, on his side.
Tebow has been training in Los Angeles for 18 months hoping for another NFL opportunity and was invited to stop by Pacquiao’s sparring session; the two men, who have worked on charity projects together in the past, shared photos of their meeting.
“Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother,” Tebow wrote.
Like Pacquiao, Tebow was born in the Philippines. Tebow has returned numerous times for missions and other charitable functions, and he even opened a children’s hospital there in late 2014.
Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs), who is scheduled to fight Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) on May 2 in one of the most anticipated fights of this century, was sparring with Kenneth Sims Jr. on Saturday.

Tim Tebow was severely concussed once. Why is he hanging with a guy who gets paid millions of dollars to concuss opponents. Remember, a KO is when you severely concuss your opponent.
Take boxing and MMA, put them in your sports viewing trunk, and drive off a cliff. Or, the next time you are watching a fight, look deep into your psyche and ask yourself what it is about fighting that compels you to watch it. If your answer is “to see someone get knocked the F out”, (likely) you are that guy.
Martial arts, of any kind, take an incredible amount of talent, hard work, and dedication to succeed at professional levels. For you to disparage an entire genre of sports like that is pretty interesting. Fighting sports like MMA and boxing are violent, absolutely, but no more violent than football. 200 to 300+ pound men crashing into each other at full speed can be a lot more damaging than a punch or a kick. It all depends. If you like american football, then maybe you should ask yourself why as well.
Sometimes people enjoy watching ALL types of sports because they enjoy watching people compete at the highest skill levels.
Tebow is a competitor at an advanced level, a christian, and has roots in the Philipines. Guess which of those things he has in common with Pacqiuao???
Daniel M…Tim said he was visiting his brother in Christ. They are good friends and have a history of charitable works. Your opinion on concussions is irrelevant, as is your conclusion that watching a boxing match is motivated by seeing “someone get knocked the F out”. Further, the fine sport of Boxing has nothing to do with the bloody, exhibitionist nature of the MMA.
You lost me at “fine sport of boxing.” Just like MMA, it’s straight garbage.
Oops…I should have known I was debating ‘stupid’. My bad, sorry.
I like to see somebody get knocked the F out. Don’t know exactly why, but I enjoy it. Call it barbarism or whatever helps you sleep at night. These canine type teeth in my mouth are made for eating meat, too. I absolutely love hunting and preparing game for my family as well. Thing is, we are all animals in our core. Never forget that, nor underestimate it. And don’t try to deny that you are too. We can all polish up and shine our image as if we are sophisticated people, but when you peel back the BS, every last one of us would kill or be killed if it comes down to it.
