Florida basketball drops one spot in Top 25 polls

Hoping to remain undefeated for the month of February, the Florida Gators (22-6, 11-3 SEC) came close but failed in the end, defeating the Georgia Bulldogs (18-9, 7-6 SEC) 71-62 on Thursday in Gainesville, FL before falling to the No. 22 Kentucky Wildcats (20-8, 8-6 SEC) 76-68 on Saturday in Lexington, KY. Due to numerous losses in the Top 25 and Florida’s improved standing among coaches and voters, the Gators only fell one spot when the polls were released Monday afternoon.
