Gators up again to No. 10/11 in top 25 polls

The ninth regular-season editions of the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ Poll were released on Monday with the Arizona Wildcats staying put as the No. 1-ranked team in the country. Arizona received 63-of-65 first-place votes from the AP voters and 30-of-32 first-place votes from the coaches.

The Florida Gators (11-2), fresh off a hard-fought 67-58 win over Richmond (10-5) on Saturday – jumped up two spots in both polls to No. 10 in the new AP top 25 and No. 11 in the latest USA Today rankings.

Florida checked in with 1,052 points (+137) in the AP poll and 473 points (+60) in the USA Today top 25.

The Gators begin Southeastern Conference play on Jan. 8.

    Love to see them play Wed afternoon…but the game is NOT on ESPN or Sunshine…just Cox Cable which thousands of fans DO NOT have. Bummer. Couldn’t watch them play Richmond either.

      I do believe it is streaming on ESPN 3. Not sure where or if it is blacked out.

      I actually called Cox on Saturday to add that Cox Sports channel (269) to my TV package. Glad to know I’ll get 2 games out of it before I call back to cancel!

    I think this is just about where we have proven we should be thus far.

    I really hope that Chris Walker becomes eligible soon, and it seems like total BS that the NCAA won’t even give a date of eligibility.
