Success: It’s how far will you bounce back?

As the Florida Gators coaching staff is spread out across the state recruiting and the players relax during this bye week, one thing in particular holds true: There is plenty of season left for this team. Florida controls its destiny in the Southeastern Conference and can still earn a berth to the championship game by defeating the rest of its conference opponents (notably South Carolina). A measure of success is still within reach for the Gators. With that in mind, OGGOA felt we should share with you this video.

Success has a single tense and a simple quantity: Now. It disregards the last title and cares little for the old trophy. The great moments pass. The grand leaders graduate. But the expectations never leave and the exams never cease. Success has another definition: It’s how far will you bounce back? The answer begins with the most urgent hour: Now. — By Tom Rinaldi, ESPN

Nice sentiments but a cheesy presentation.

  2. Gatorbuc15 says:

Funny how most people forget that Florida still controls it’s own destiny.
    Not a bad video either.

We need to remember, Oklahoma was 8-5 last year. I know that Urbs will get this straightened out. That is why they pay him the big bucks.

Adam, when I saw that comment, that was my exact quote.

As for Gatorbuc and Aligator, it’s good to see some positive vibes here. It’s funny, after the LSU loss it was all doom and gloom (understandable) but after the MSU loss (which to me was more disheartening) everybody seems to be circling the wagons. I’m nervous as hell, but man I hope we right the ship, I have faith in Meyer, the coaching staff and our players to get it together. Lets just take care of Georgia and let’s see what happens next week.

Also, Adam, thank you for running the best site for Gators to come to…

the moment begins now………….what a bunch pansy B.S…..we need to beat those hated Leghumpers..like they stole something from us…

Lol G8trpls ! Now that’s some smack I can relate to. No video with heartfelt music is going to motivate you. Motivation comes from recognizing the circumstances you are dealing with and making real decisions about how to deal with them. Maybe the cheesy video can be a tipping point but that’s about it. Did The Speech motivate all those players? No way. Was it a tipping point for the team. Most likely.

Not bad for ESPN. But, then along comes Mr. Gameday, Desmond in his pimp costume spouting garbage.

At the halfway point these are the facts:

Losing all of the talent from last year has affected us
Our defense has done a pretty good job this year
We are looking to figure out who we are on offense
Our play makers on offense have been out on offense
The offensive line is not playing up to their potential
Our play calling is very predictable with certain packages
We are afraid to throw down field because our receivers are not playing up to potential
Our offensive coordinator is spread thin with too much responsibility

Most of our issues are on offense and they all seem to have aligned at the same time. So hopefully things will be addressed and or get better and the season will improve. This is a rebuilding year and maybe now we can all see that. I just hate that it takes so many games to see that.

I saw this piece on Gameday, and how the Gameday crew lambasted the Gators. I can’t believe that we’re irrelevant at this point of the season… and I still have that bad taste in my mouth from both LSU and Mississippi State loses.

Winning cures all, and here’s to taking uga to the shed!

    Go Gators!
