Though the Florida Gators will be far from short with wide receivers on their roster in 2016, one of the most veteran wideouts on the team has decided to leave the program.

Redshirt junior Alvin Bailey has decided to transfer from Florida, team spokesmen confirmed to OnlyGators.com late Sunday. Bailey will be heading to Youngstown State, per multiple reports including SEC Country.

The 5-foot-11, 186-pound speedster did not see much action throughout his Gators career, playing in 16 games over three seasons with no starts. He totaled three receptions for 49 yards in 2015 and was expected to be passed over on the roster by an influx of talented freshmen.

Florida has eight returning scholarship receivers with redshirt sophomore Ryan Sousa choosing to transfer to FCS Southern Illinois less than two months ago. The Gators added five first-year wideouts as part of their 2016 recruiting class with three of those players — junior Dre Massey and freshmen Joshua Hammond and Freddie Swain — joining the team for spring practice.
