Florida Gators football was profiled Wednesday on ESPN‘s College Football Live program in a discussion forum featuring analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Robert Smith, former Florida head coach Urban Meyer and former Gators quarterback Jesse Palmer. The panel discusses Will Muschamp‘s transition from defensive coordinator to head coach, players finding the “hunger” to win, getting the team to play like a “blue collar” group, offensive coordinator Charlie Weis‘s impact and whether or not redshirt senior quarterback John Brantley can turn it around after a tough first season as the starter.

Charlie Weis won’t mean anything unless our line improves. Still hey had good things to say.

Urban seems to be more comfortable in front of the camera. Good to see two Gators on the set.

Great analysis, I don’t dvr CF daily anymore on ESPN, only a few things I am interested in knowing now. We have a really tough schedule this year in the SEC, and FSU is finally good again, but unless we suffer injuries on the o-line (the d-line though not deep will be incredible), I can’t see us doing worse than 10-2. No one is even mentioning us as SEC east contender, but I think just based on the talent, this team can be incredible, and possibly special. Brantley will be solid. It will all depend on whether or not the o-line can stay healthy….

oh…and if more players stop smoking the wicked weed….

Agree I would much rather start the season ranked 3rd in the SEC east and surprise people than be way overrated! Then again, lots of talk that will have to be proven on the field. Still wish we had used some scholarships to go get a couple huge, mature O-linemen from a national championship CC to shore up that unit.
