The commitment train is running along for the Florida Gators ahead of their annual Friday Night Lights camp with four-star tight end Kyle Pitts (Warminster, PA) verbally agreeing to join the program on Thursday.
Pitts, the No. 252 overall prospect in the Class of 2018, is rated as the 11th best tight end this cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect committed to Florida over Georgia and Virginia Tech, a decision that has long been expected.
In a unique commitment video produced by Bleacher Report, Pitts committed by Gator Chomping while riding a roller coaster at Six Flags. Check it out below.

Pitts is the Gators’ ninth commitment for 2018, though just the fourth four-star prospect that has joined the class. He is the programs third-highest rated recruit behind four-stars safety Amari Burney (Clearwater, FL) and guard Curtis Dunlap (Jacksonville, FL), the latter of whom committed to Florida on Wednesday.
Florida’s class is now ranked 40th nationally after being 61st just two days ago.
