Just one day after landing the program’s first five-star offensive line prospect in more than a decade, the Florida Gators have doubled up on the recruiting trail. Four-star quarterback Davin Davidson (Sarasota, FL), committed to Florida over Auburn, Georgia and Kentucky.
Davidson (6-foot-7, 215 pounds) is considered the No. 13 signal caller in the Class of 2027. Despite being a multi-sport athlete, he is seen as more of a pure pocket passer who can use his size and strength to gain additional yards when needed.
Florida enters the 2026 season with a two-man battle at QB as Georgia Tech redshirt sophomore transfer Aaron Philo and redshirt freshman Tramell Jones Jr. will compete for the starting job through camp. Freshman Will Griffin is also waiting in the wings having signed as a four-star prospect in the Class of 2026.
