The official list of invitees was released by National Football Scouting last week with nine former Florida Gators formally invited to participate in the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. That marks the most since 2015, when nine Gators also participated.
The event, which is held for seven days from Feb. 28 to March 6, consists of 320 players being put through a series of drills, tests and interviews while more than 600 NFL personnel in attendance (coaching staffs, executives, player personnel and medical staffs) evaluate each of them. It amounts to a major job interview for these athletes ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, which is set for April 27-29 in Kansas City.
