Just two days after entering the transfer portal, former Mississippi State offensive lineman Stewart Reese has committed to conclude his career with the Florida Gators as a graduate transfer in 2020, according to multiple reports. Reese, a three-year starter for the Bulldogs, should immediately factor into the Gators’ plans up front next season.
A former three-star prospect who signed with now-Florida head coach Dan Mullen in 2016, Reese (6-foot-5, 345 pounds) started at right tackle and right guard for Mississippi State.
The brother of current Gators redshirt sophomore linebacker David Reese, he will slot right back in under Mullen and offensive line coach John Hevesy, who coached him through his first two seasons with the Bulldogs. He brings production, versatility and on-field experience to UF along with another healthy body the team needs at the position.
As a graduate transfer, Stewart Reese will be eligible to play immediately as a redshirt senior for his final season of college football.
