Following a rousing win against the Georgia Bulldogs where he accounted for four touchdowns, Florida Gators senior quarterback Tim Tebow regained the top spot in the Scripps Howard Heisman Trophy poll that he had previously held for the entire season. Earning three of 10 first-place votes, Tebow jumped Alabama Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram (4), Houston Cougars QB Case Keenum (3), Notre Dame Fighting Irish QB Jimmy Clausen (0) and Texas Longhorns QB Colt McCoy (0). Voting tabulations are made on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, with each voter ranking a top five.

IMO the Heisman has turned into a QB award and Tebow hasn’t played well enough this year to even be on that list. If Ingram continues to play like he is now and gets beat out by Tebow it will be a flat out farce. There is a chance that Tebow will not even throw for 2000 yards and is currently on pace to throw the most INT’s in his college career for a season.

Love ya Tebow but you just aren’t Heisman material this year.

Heisman sucks anyway. Whoever wins ends up losing their bowl game. NC>Heisman in my opinion.

Gatorfan33 – If he wins it will be legs and arm combined, you’re looking at it from a statistical mark just like most. Ingram may be good but his “big games” are looking more and more bleak as they teams he ran over continue to bleed week in and week out. You will see Ingram die down when Bamer loses to LSU this weekend. Just pray you don’t have to hear anymore about Dildo Clausen…hate that douchbag.

  4. Tebow may not have played well enough yet, but he has plenty of time before the award is handed out. It is not all about numbers – and nobody is putting up numbers like Bradford did last year. The real farce is that Tebow did not win the award last season.

Are we forgetting the stats Crouch had when he won the award….lets see what Ingram does against LSU this weekend…should be fun to watch…Tebow will pad his stats in the Vandy, FIU & FSU games.

Crouch threw for a career-high 1,510 yards, but that was still almost 900 fewer than Harrington and almost 2,400 fewer than Grossman’s nation-leading total. Crouch’s critics also pointed to the fact that he threw more interceptions (10) than touchdowns (7).
