Though things could still change over the next five days, the No. 22/22 Florida Gators on Monday afternoon released an updated depth chart ahead of Saturday’s game.

Florida omitted players that are not participating against the No. 14/14 Missouri Tigers due to injury or suspension; therefore, the depth chart below is an “active” version rather than a “best-case scenario” version.

Changes are noted below and marked with (»).

Kelvin Taylor needs to start. Mack Brown is a pedestrian runner at best. He will get whats blocked and nothing more. No explosion, no vision, no playmaking abilities.

    • Alex says:

Taylor is a better runner. Taylor also doesn’t know the playbook and struggles with pass blocking. That is why Brown will start.

  2. Crock says:

I absolutely hate the conservative offense, but this might not be a bad week to play it safe and let the D win the game.

Though that was a much better gameplan when Easley was healthy.

  3. SWFL Joe says:

How can Hargreaves not be a starter? He twice the CB Pruifoy is

  4. cline says:

wondering now if Powell is also out for the year. rough year for injuries. Go Gators

  5. swamplife7115 says:

I agree about purifoy he is not a corner just a special teams player he is always getting beat hargreaves is the best cover corner we have

  6. Michael Jones says:

I agree that Hargreaves is our best pure corner but I still like the idea of him coming in off the bench and continuing to develop without too much pressure on him. He’s a true freshman. Plus, it would be pretty demoralizing to Purifoy and Roberson after all the preseason hype.

Besides that, I still don’t think we’ve come close to seeing Purifoy and Roberson’s best football. I believe they’ll have some pleasant surprises in store for us before this season is over.

But I love Hargreaves. A truly unusual talent. . even plays a lot tougher and more physical than I thought he would this soon in his career. Amazing athlete and football player.
