1 » Known as one of the best player recruiters in the NBA, former Florida Gators forward Chandler Parsons hauled in Dwight Howard for Houston and looked primed to be a major factor in the Dallas Mavericks signing DeAndre Jordan, until the center had a change of heart and decided to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers. Parsons had fun with the situation when it unfolded on Wednesday, first sending an emoji on Twitter indicating he was going to talk to Jordan and then noting, “I thought I had a good pump fake,” after learning Jordan would stay in Los Angeles. He was not in as light a mood on Thursday.

Parsons told ESPN.com‘s Tim MacMahon that he was “shocked, very disappointed, frustrated and disrespected” by Jordan’s “mind-blowing” about-face. “When a man gives you his word and an organization his word, especially when that organization put in so much effort and I walked him through this process and was very, very open and willing to work with him, it’s just very unethical and disrespectful,” Parsons said. He did not let up there, though. “He wasn’t ready to be a franchise player. He was scared,” Parsons added. “He was scared to take the next step in his career. … How you make a business decision like that is beyond me.”

2 » Former Gators center Patric Young is off to play for Olympiacos next season, but he was still in Florida this month and decided to stop by 2015 NBA Summer League play in Orlando to visit with some friends. Here’s a shot of Young with former Florida point guard Scottie Wilbekin (who is playing with the Orlando Magic) and new Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan.

You've got to love the GATOR Family!!!
