Florida Gators softball is one game away from capturing the first national title in program history after defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide 5-0 in game one of the best-of-three 2014 Women’s College World Series Championship Series.
A number of former and current Gators were exuberant while watching Florida softball on Monday night, so OnlyGators.com captured all of the emotion on social media and presents it in this recap.

Wow…that’s way more people following the game than I would have expected. Did basketball get this much attention from our fellow athletes and alums? Really cool for the football team to follow along as well.
Yes.
This Gator Team may just bring it home . Wish them all the best in game 2 with Hot bats and another great game of Defense !! Bring it home Girls . Kick some Elephant butt ..Go Gators
Such great love from the Gator Alum and well deserved. Long way to go yet, but they finally won a game in the championship series, and won it handily. Traina was pitching masterfully was scared with just one run, but she became predictable to them for some reason, didn’t stay on her game. Surprised Stacey didn’t tweet something, as that would have been the ultimate pat on the back. I think it would be very interesting to go with Gourley tomorrow night to give Bama something they don’t know about, but I couldn’t argue taking Hannah out of the mound either.
One of the funniest things I saw tonight while watching the game was reading ESPN comments, and most of the commenters are in lust with Hannah right now, want UF to win simply because our ladies are a lot sexier than Bama ladies.
Great start for them needing only one of next 2, such a different team than they were when they played bama earlier in the year losing 2/3 and 6/8 during that span
