Florida up one spot to No. 12/13 in top 25 polls

The eighth regular-season editions of the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ Poll were released on Monday with the Arizona Wildcats staying put as the No. 1-ranked team in the country. Arizona received 63-of-65 first-place votes from the AP voters and 30-of-32 first-place votes from the coaches.

The Florida Gators (10-2), fresh off a 76-34 rout of Savannah State (2-11) on Sunday – jumped up one spot each to No. 12 in the AP top 25 and No. 13 in the latest USA Today rankings.

Florida checked in with 915 points (+34) in the AP poll and 413 points (+30) in the USA Today top 25.

The Gators have one non-conference game remaining before beginning SEC play on Jan. 8.
