The Florida Gators (3-3) fell out of the Associated Press Top 25 – and just snuck into theUSA Today Coaches’ Poll – on Monday after dropping two of three games at the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis last week in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

The fourth regular-season editions of the top 25 polls for 2014-15 find the Gators only ranked No. 24 by the coaches. It is the first time Florida is unranked in the AP Top 25 since Jan. 31, 2011, and UF received its fewest votes in the poll (40) since Jan. 3, 2001 (35).

Florida opened the season at No. 7/7. Two weeks later, the Gators fell 10 and nine spots down to No. 18/16. Now UF has effectively dropped 14 more places in the minds of the AP voters and eight slots according to the coaches. Things do not get any easier for Florida with No. 11/11 Kansas on tap this Friday.

No biggie. As we all know by now, our ranking was grossly inflated. Now our boys can come back down to earth and work on the things it takes to become a good basketball team.

Besides, as we also all know, it’s not where you start . . . it’s where you end up.

    Go Gators!!!

they’ll be back in it before the end of this month I bet.

I am absolutely baffled at this team’s inability to score. They run offense like they all just met each other 2 weeks ago.

Horford transferring here to allow his 3 point game to flourish, well he’s about to have a rude awakening because we need his ass in the post ALL GAME. Rebound, defend, put backs, lay ups. That’s your M.O. this year, John.

Kasey Hill… got a lil better at the end of the Bahamas tourney but he should have been at that level game 1 of the season.

And Frazier…. my goodness Frazier. Can this guy ever be consistent?

Eli Carter being hurt is killing us for sure too.
