As the Florida Gators continue looking to add to their incoming Class of 2019, head coach Dan Mullen and his staff also have their eyes set on the future. That was obvious on Thursday when four-star 2021 wide receiver Trevonte Rucker (Ocala, FL) committed to his hometown team.

Rucker (6-foot, 155 pounds) is rated as the 60th overall player and No. 11 overall wideout in the Class of 2021, per 247Sports, despite playing quarterback for Vanguard High School. He does not appear to have taken visits during the 2018 season and did not have a list of finalists at the time of his commitment.

With three verbal pledges already, Florida is currently ranked as having the No. 2 overall class in 2021. Rucker is the highest-rated commitment at this time, joining four-star athlete Kamar Wilcoxson (Stone Mountain, GA) and offensive lineman George Jackson (Stone Mountain, GA).

The early signing period as part of National Signing Day is set for Wednesday, Dec. 19. The Gators currently have the No. 21 overall class in the 2019 cycle and are looking to add a number of big names over the next month.
