The third edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings were released Tuesday night, and the Florida Gators found themselves at No. 8 in the rankings, up three spots from a week ago after their 24-14 win at South Carolina.

Florida opened at No. 10 three weeks ago before falling a spot to No. 11 after a close 9-7 win over Vanderbilt. Now the Gators are the fourth-ranked one-loss team in the top 25, behind Alabama, Notre Dame and Oklahoma. Though Florida has a better loss (LSU vs. Texas) and a tougher schedule than OU, UF is ranked one spot behind what is considered one of the hottest teams in the nation.

Here’s the new CFP Rankings:

3. Ohio State (10-0)
4. Notre Dame (9-1)

No system is going to be perfect but luckily all of this will play itself out on the field. Lets just hope our Gators can take care of what we can and not let some committee determine our fate.
