Now if we can keep Lane Kiffin and others from trying to poach our commitments to-date and these kids don’t fall for all the media bullshit (meaning all the stupid rumors), we’ll bring in a top-5 class for 2010.

One recruit I have hopes for in this class is QB Trey Burton; I saw snippets of him in action playing at his HS in venice. I admire this kid’s enthusiasm about becoming a Gator; I’ve noticed him once or twice at the pre-season practices this year and he’s also doing his part to encourage others to consider UF.

Looking to shape us the greatest recruiting class ever (according to rankings and on paper of course). Still good chance we end up with Powell, Hicks, Luc, Dunkley, and one or both of the Greens. If Weis leaves nd, then maybe Martin or Owa too. The Gators reign at the top is not ending any time soon!

Luc’s commitment will depend on whether or not Charlie Strong is still the team’s defensive coordinator. If he’s not, there is no chance he comes. If he is, then I would say it is likely.

Elam continues to be an enigma (on purpose). Everything he has said publicly insists he is remaining committed to the Gators, but he continues to take visits and force people to speculate. If you search “Matt Elam” on this site, you will see what I mean.

Great news on Shaw!

If we were to get Powell on board, that would definitely boost the quality of this class.

Any word on Jeff Luc, and is Matt Elam still planning on coming to Gainesville in the spring?
